Presenting the Golden Budgie Award to SPBudgie!!

Once in a great while, a very special person comes into your life.

I was so fortunate to have SP Budgie (Ollie) become my friend through this forum.

Ollie spent many hours working with the photos I created for Pedro and Poppy's Wedding Festivities and countless additional hours creating new pictures and scenes to improve upon and expand the story.

Ollie created a video of Pedro and Poppy's Wedding Events that, in my opinion, is BEYOND SPECTACULAR!!

Thank you, Ollie from the very bottom of my heart.

I'm so very honored that Ollie chose to spend her time creating this video to share with me and all our friends on the Talk Budgie Forum.

I'd hereby like to introduce Pedro and Poppy who will present SP Budgie (Ollie) with the most coveted of all video awards.

Pedro: Ahem -- um...excuse me! First of all, I would like to thank Miss SPBudgie for creating such a wonderful video for me and my lovely bride. This video is a treasure of creativity and love!

Poppy: <Sobbing> Sniff! It's the best gift I've ever received Miss SP!! Your videography is amazing.

Pedro: (Whispering -- Shhh... Poppy please try to stop crying before you get Miss SP's award all wet.)
{Louder} Everbirdie has agreed that this is the best wedding video ever produced.

Poppy: Miss SP -- you are a credit to all videographers and everybirdie loves you.

Pedro: In honor of your creativity, love and imagination -- we are honored to present you with the top honor created for birdie videos...

THE GOLDEN BUDGIE!!

hi this is rosie. i know how you feel poppy. i had my tissue tucked under my wing. its so beautiful i cant help but get all teary.


its nicky here pedro. what are we going to do with these girls? they know its a happy time but they still cry. i dont get it poppy do you?

I so apologize for taking this long to respond - Annoying "Real Life" has been interrupting my internet connections All Day, with only short breaks here and there (I Hate it when that happens!) This award ceremony may seem little and insignificant to the world at large (just as our budgies seem Little and cheap in many people's eyes), but to me, it is one of the Great moments of my life, and I wanted to give it all due respect in my response.

Well, Deb, and all you other sweet budgie lovers, it's safe to say when I saw this award, you could have knocked me over with a (golden) feather! I mean - Guys - this is the most gratifying reward I have Ever received for the work that I do, and I am truly humbled and overwhelmed - my cup runneth over. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I certainly didn't have a speech prepared for this momentous occasion, seeing as how it was a Total Surprise! And I have had a day full of company and various activities, in between the which, I've been able to reflect on all of this, and write a few words here and there.

So now, first of all, (just like Tebow), I'd like to thank Jesus Christ for absolutely everything! It was He who led me to the Talk Budgies forum, when I was totally devastated by the loss of my Sweet Pea. He has been called "The Comforter", and He certainly knew I would find the comfort I needed here, among people who love and cherish their little budgies, as I do. Seeing everyone's wonderful budgies, and hearing their stories, has brought me so much joy, that I simply can't express it adequately. I've laughed, I've cried, I've been thankful all in all
And, if that weren't enough, The Good Lord has put it my heart to use the talents He gave me to celebrate His wonderous creation of budgies - So many budgies - so little time!...I don't know when He is going to call me home, but I know I'd like to continue this work here until my time here is over.

And, speaking of work, that brings me to Faerybee, who has given me some of the most satisfying work I've ever had to do, not the least of which was her very own Pedro and Poppy Wedding.
When I first met Deb Faerybee, it was on the Royal Wedding thread, (just after she had joined Talk Budgies); where, in the space of a couple of hours, unbenownst to the other, we each made almost identical pictures! (She finished first...)

Coincidence? I think not. I don't believe in coincidences - I beieve it was God showing me that Deb and I were kindred spirits of sorts, with a very similar artistic vision.
From that moment on, in my mind, we have been what I would call "friendly competitors" in the very best sense of the word, "competition" - that is, each inspiring the other to greater and greater heights of creativity. And then, when Deb generously allowed me to share her very Own, marvelous wedding story creation, in my making a video with all Her material, she transformed all my leftover competition into collaboration; the best Ever!

I thank God for putting you in my life, Deb, and I thank you, Deb, for trusting me with your work; that I woud be true to your original vision, and merely enhance it with movement and music, which is what I do.

And, while I have your attention, I'd like to thank all the "Little People and their Little Budgies" on Talk Budgies, who have delighted and inspired me with their spectacular photos, funny and amazing videos, and professionally creative art work. I am so blessed to be a part of this (very) important "Little" community/family.
