Question about Balding around eye

342 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  FaeryBee
Hi,

My budgie has lost some hair around their eye, iam uncertain if this is something to be alarmed about, nontheless we have requested an appointment with a vet but if any of you have had a similar experience, is it something to be concerned about? Our other budgie is fine and they are both energetic as usual if that helps. Any info is helpful!

That does not look normal even during a molt, have you seen her rubbing the area on cage bars or anything else?

No nothing like that, she is just going about like she usually does. The other budgie has been attempting to fix it but he has been unsuccesful, nontheless we will give her a saline wash today and an antibiotic tommorow, if there is no improvement by Sunday ill take her to a vet asap.
