Im not sure what got into rickey but when I came home he had a lot to say lol. To me it comes across as him tattling on Lucy. He went on for a foot 10 mins. What is he really doing? He does this every day for a few hours off and on.

lol please excuse the baby talk lol when I talk like that he goes on a bit more.

Edit to add new video after i played back the video for them Rickey flew out of his cage. He has never come out on his own.

Very cute, it looks and sounds like he's talking to you and excited by the sound of your voice.

I know they pick up certain high and low tones in a persons speech which will excite them and Rickey looked very happy and excited by talking to you.

Rickey and the yellow hen are lovely, and Rickey's excitement is cute!

FWIW, I like your large cage, but the bar spacing is too wide for budgies (their heads could get stuck while trying to squeeze through). Maximum spacing should be 1/2".

Were saving up for a new cage now something bigger ill keep that in mind. When I rescued lucy my yellow hen it was given to us with her. We werent looking at getting a bird at the time so we took what we could get. Lucy was in a rough situation and wanted to get her away from someone who was abusing her.

Rickey sure is a ham lol
