I just read a couple of articles about dogs that ate salt dough ornaments off of the Christmas tree and died from it. :sad3: Apparently they are very toxic to dogs and cats and probably other animals as well, so if you have any keep them out of reach of your pets.

Though I don't personally have any of those, thanks for the heads up! I'm surprised they're toxic to mammals. Maybe it was a toxic paint on the ornament?

Goodness, how dreadful! Luckily we don't have any of those. Maybe it was the sudden shock of so much salt? :dunno:

It is the high concentration of the salt that is the problem.
