Sammy chattering this morning

Hello, everyone!

Sammy is feeling much better and continues with his meds. His regular vet re-opens tomorrow after remodeling the clinic, so we will call and make an appointment for a follow-up.

I caught this video this morning of Sammy playing with one of his favorite toys. He chatters, chirps, says "cheepy, cheepy, cheepy!" (our phrase for when we're playing hide and seek), "baby bird" and gives kisses.

Sammy turned 4 months old last week. Today, he also said his first complete sentence: "Whatcha doing, baby bird?" :budgie:

Now I'm trying to teach him "Gonna get that belly!" and "Qué follón (in Spanish, "what a mess!")". :D

Here's the video:

Happy to hear and see that Sammy is feeling better! 4 months already, he is growing up quickly.
We use the phrase "I'm gotta getcha!" while going in for tickle.
Sammy is looking and sounding great! Definitely likes those kissy sounds. Good boy, Sammy!

Thanks so much! Yes, Sammy is huge for his age (weighs 38g) and, according to his x-ray last week, he's already sexually developed (the vet could have spared me that detail )

I love I'm gonna getcha! I'm going to steal it and use it with Sammy! :)

Thank you! Yes, Sammy loves kissy sounds. It's a shame I didn't get his "gimme a kiss SMMMOOOCCCHHH" on camera ;)
How cute, it's great to see Sammy feeling so much better. Now that's a happy and very playful boy or as he says "baby bird"!! :D

Thanks, aluz! :) We have a follow-up appointment at 18:30 with his normal vet, but I can tell he's feeling much better. Although I found the one veggie he won't try - cooked pumpkin. This is our second try ;)
How cute! Thanks for posting that :) My babies started chattering away with him, they don't talk though, I need to try and work more on that. I am glad Sammy is feeling so much better :)

I also posted in on my Facebook, and one of my friends from back home said that her budgies started chirping along as well! Sammy must have an infectious voice. ;)

I can understand what Sammy says (most of the time) but, because he's so young, he still has kind of a weird pronunciation that we're working on. It's easier to get one budgie to talk than three, but if you could get yours to say "The three musketeers!" it would be AMAZING! ;)

LOL that would be funny, or "All for one, and one for all!" but that would be pretty long. :p

I thought the same! But maybe you could work on "All for one" first and then add "one for all" once they get it down :)
Good idea! If that works I will have to ask FaeryBee to make me a Three Musketeers signature :D
