Hey everyone,

I think we all love to see what other people do with their cages- how they set them up, what sort of perches and toys are in them, so we thought it would be a fun idea to have a thread dedicated to sharing your cage set up's to help inspire new and old members of the forum.

The aim of this it to just share pictures of your set up, and you are encouraged to include details such as the cage you are using and any new toys you might have added.

Please remember that if you are looking for a lot of specific advice regarding your cage set up, you might be best to start your own thread asking for help, and just reviewing this thread for ideas.

Here are some pictures from my older style set up.

For those who don't know, before I had the flock living together, they used to live in pairs, male & female together in their own cage and they would socialise during their out of cage time.

That was before my birds decided they would rather live together. As they were able to spend so much time socialising together, living together was no big deal to them.

The cage at the bottom is my Piano 6 cage and the others are all Finca Pequeno cages.

I always try and give the birds branches and bits on top and between their cages to ensure they always had plenty of places to play and perch while out.

This thread is a great idea! I love all of the natural wood and how you basically have created a play gym by adding so much more to the top of them and to connect the cages. :D

This is Niko's current set up. I try to majorly change it every month or so. He really loves sitting on the rope perch and ladder! He also loves the toy with the vine ball chain. The cage is the Pali Place Flight Cage.

Nice photos - good idea to have a thread of set ups all in one place.:)

This is Syd & Bondi's cage.
Their cage is the Hamberley cage - Hamberley Single Metal Large Cage - Little Pet Warehouse

Here is a short video of their space & a closer look inside:

The large vision cage is home to a canary.
The small vision cage is for use as an emergency/ short journey cage.
The bird baths on the grate are used for their daily seed - for bathing, I'll put a shallow stainless steel bowl in (or on top of) the cage.

This is my gangs present setup

2x VOLADERA ECO cages

I have joined them together to make 1 large cage 160x53x90cm

Link to how I did that: http://talkbudgies.com/do-yourself/397401-joining-2-flightcages-into-1-single-cage.html

I have a selection of Eucalyptus and Corkscrew Hazel perches together with a Calcium and a Cement perch.

I have dismantled some cheap swings and added natural wood perches on them instead of the dowels that came with them and added some chewable wood etc. for stimulation.

They also have a couple of wooden platforms, primarily used for food bowls (I plan to add a couple more made of ash wood that I have custom made by my dad back in Denmark )

Then we have a selection of toys to shred

I also have access to Eucalyptus trees, so they get some fresh branches once in a while :)

Sorry if this reply is from years ago, You could just buy another cage like that one and connect them together by getting wire cutters and cut both cages to where you want them to connect. Just a suggestion! 😁
