Just whipped up a batch of cornbread for birds. Makes an 8" by 8" pan batch. After cooling I cut it into 1" squares individually wrapped and then stored in a freezer bag in the freezer. I take out 1 a day to add to afternoon feeding.

1/2 cup butter (or margarine)
2 whole eggs with shell
1 cup organic chicken stock
1/2teaspoon baking soda
1 cup cornmeal
1cup all purpose flour
1/2cup green pepper
2 each jalapeno peppers
1/2 cup seeds. (I have a mix of rape, nyjer, hemp, flax, safflower, canary and white proso)

-oven 375 degrees

-grease 8*8 glass pan

-melt butter
-add eggs and beat
-add chicken stock and baking soda, mix
-stir in flour and cornmeal
-stir in seeds and finely chopped peppers
-pour into pan
-bake 30-40 mins or until toothpick comes out clean in center

-I use a small food processer to chop up peppers and eggshell
-I use 100% organic ingredients
You can add other veges and 1/2cup of pellets, but I mix this with a vegemix that has pellets and chopped kale so I dont add to bread recipe.
