not sure if its just me but some feathers seem to look spangle and some do not.
both his parents are spangle

what do you think?:)

I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the fact he is Opaline. A lot of Opalines have little to no markings in that particular area on the wing (don't ask me why!) so that's what it looks like this guy has. Some of the markings are white instead of normal so it does look kind of like Spangle markings.

Nice bird

It's not spangle, just opaline. A pair of spangles will produce about 25% chicks that are not spangles

thanks nev:)
and 3/5 of the chicks were not spangle but were all opaline :p
