Hello all!

I was wondering if you could help me out with a new budgie I have. :)

She is a lutino female, but on her back there is a pattern much like a spangle, its dark around the edges and light creme yellow in the center, I hope you can see it in the pictures.. is this normal for lutinos?
The only bird I have to compare her to is my lutino dark eyed clear male and he doesnt have this pattern, but i realize they are completely different mutations so that probably doesnt make a difference ha.

She also has darker yellow around her face than the rest of her body, but you really can see it very well in the pitcures, and her tail is a light creme/tan.

I cant find anything on it, or any pictures that look like her:S Please let me know what you think!

im not good at the whole mutation thing.
but doesnt a lutino have to have red eyes?
a dark eyed clear is a different mutation than a lutino altogether. thats what i have gathered anyway. maybe someone here can clarify if im wrong there????

i cant see in the photos. what colour are your new budgies eyes? they dont look red to me there... i dont know, maybe im just not seeing right lol

She looks like a Yellowface Albino, and I think the pattern on her wings is a bit of her markings showing through. (she probably is Spangle) I've got a YF Albino who has some markings on her and her wings look similar to that.

Yes a dark eyed clear and an albino are different =) i didnt mean that, i just meant the only other bird i have thats yellow is a dary eyed clear and he doesnt have those marking on his wings. but since they are completely different i doubt it matters ha.

And yes she does have a white iris, and her eyes arent really red, more like a dark ruby red, but they arent as dark as they are on any of my other birds... so im guessing she must be lutino or they would be black like my dary eyed clear one

If your bird has red eyes she is a type 2 yellow face (or golden face) albino and the yellow has spread onto her body. Most lutinos & albinos have a faint pattern on their wings

So you think shes an albino? If I breed her with another albino male that is not yellowfaced what kind of babies would that make? Thats crazy I never read about that happening =)

And were all learning here! :D how else are we going to learn if we dont ask questions ;)
