The FaeryBee Flock wanted to send their blessings to everyone for St. Paddy's Day!

May there always be work for your hands to do
May your purse always hold a coin or two;
May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

May those who love us, love us;
And for those who don't love us,
May God turn their hearts;
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles,
So we will know them by their limping!

May joy and peace surround you,
contentment latch your door,
and happiness be with you now
and bless you evermore!

If i could drink alcohol then i would be tonight, so i'm just having a curry and a cuppa tea instead haha.

My flock are celebrating St Paddy's day by eating their green leaves...Well Freki is happily destroying them as we speak.. Queen Loki on the other hand is looking at me with "What the hell is that doing in my cage.. OFF WITH HER HEAD!" written all over her face ****

I wouldn't change either of them for the world tho :D

Happy Saint Patrick's day to you and your flock too! :)
Even though my budgie Leonel is blue, he is wearing green on his beak at the moment (veggie face). No one will pinch him now! :D

Kat,
I don't drink alchohlic beverages either.
Now EATING alcholic foods is another thing. I make a super high-octane rum cake. :laughing:

Happy St. Patricks Day to you to :D
Great poems, you are very talented!
Joanne,
Thanks but I didn't write the poems - they are traditional Irish blessings.

Deb what are red bliss potatoes?
Red bliss potatoes are just baby red-skinned potatoes.

These were roasted were tossed in a wee bit of olive oil with rosemary and a little kosher salt and then roasted. :)

Happy Saint Patrick's day to you and your flock too! :)

Good for Leonel - we sure don't want him getting pinched! :eek:

Wow, Deb - You certainly have a flair for classic holiday celebrations; and this one is no exception! Every detail is lovingly included and emphasized in technicolor - your birds' hats - the beautiful rainbow - the proverbial pot'o'gold - the green beer - (not to mention the colorful Irish feast!)
And the poem is, of course, Perfect.
If I Did do holidays, I'd hire you as my Holiday Planner in a heartbeat! Just wonderful!
So anyway - a (late) Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you and all of yours, you brilliant artist, You!

Deb, the flock looks very much in the spirit of St. Paddy's Day!
Sparky looks particularly dashing in his flat cap :) Love the
Irish blessings you wove in there as well. I'm late with this, but
I hope you had a wonderful day!

I celebrated by pulling up and bagging up horrible stickery bushes
whilst practicing bad language in the general direction of the Lawn
Police, who have threatened me with code violations over my tumbleweeds,
which are decidedly not Irish. Did enjoy a concert by Gaelic Storm
on TV, and raised a Diet Coke in memory of my Grandfather from County
Clare :)

May you always have
A sunbeam to warm you
Good luck to charm you
And a sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you
Laughter to cheer you
Faithful friends near you
And whenever you pray, heaven to hear you.
~poem nicked without remorse from Gaelsong catalog
