Well its time for round 2! :giggle: :D

Opal and Sapphire have been baby free for a few weeks, since I either pulled them for hand feeding or fostered them out, and they are in just as great of condition and health as before their first clutch so I have decided to let them have a second round before their years rest :)

I was hoping to have a bit more of a space between these ones and the last ones, but Opal was very eager and has already laid her first egg so I figured why not just let them all have a go, who needs a life right? :p

I have also set up Necco and Avacado, Bandit and Paprika, and Zest and Lupe :)

Here they are, and the color expectations I have for the chicks:

Avacado-
Light green spangle. Split greywing and possibly recessive pied.
(Possibly split blue)

Necco-
Sky blue. Sf violet. Opaline. Cinnamon. Yellowface type 2.
Split recessive pied.

Expectations for their chicks:
Light green. Sky blue?. Violet. Spangle. Recessive pied?.

Opal-
Masking Sf grey. Sf dominant pied. Sf violet. Opaline.

Tiki-
Sf grey. Df violet. Df dominant pied.
Split cinnamon and opaline.

Expectations for their chicks:
Sky and Cobalt blue. Violet. Grey. Dominant pied. Double factor dominant pied. Opaline. Cinnamon.

Bandit-
Sky blue. Df violet. Normal.
Split recessive pied.

Paprika-
Sky blue. Df violet. Opaline. Cinnamon.
Split recessive pied.

Expectations for their chicks:
Sky blue. Df Violet. Recessive pied. Normal.

Sapphire-
Cobalt blue. Df violet. Spangle.

Java-
Cobalt blue. Df violet. Normal.
Split Ino.

Expectations for their chicks:
Sky, Cobalt, and Mauve blue. All Df violet. Normal. Spangle. Albino.

Zest-
Light green. Spangle.
Split Opaline and blue.

Lupe-
Sky blue. Df violet. Opaline. Cinnamon. Spangle.
Split recessive pied.

Expectations for their chicks:
Light green. Sky blue. All Sf Violet. Opaline. Spangle. Double factor spangle.

Lets hope for lots of cute babies! :D

Yay! I am so excited! I am keeping a chart of how many eggs each pair has and what mutations you said were possible for each pair. This is so exciting! :)

Good Luck...

Wow…

I am still enjoying the first Breeding Journal and here comes a new one. It's like having two main courses in a romantic dinner. lol. :D

So many gorgeous and stunning birds. Love Paprika and Zest. I wish I had one like that.

Good luck with summer pairs.

Just a quick question Lindsey…

I have made an Excel file to keep record of the breeding pairs and the babies but it is very very difficult to manually enter data in each pair's file. How do you do it? Do you use any software?

Maybe you are smart enough to remember everything. :) :) :)
