Sweet Potato Leaves

2565 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  StarlingWings
Does anyone know if it's safe to feed budgies sweet potato leaves? I'm growing "slips" and am cutting off the leaves that would grow below the water level. I'd like to give them to my budgies. Sweet potato leaves, unlike regular potato leaves, are edible for humans. Not sure about budgies. Thanks.

I have not been able to find any information with regard to the safety of giving sweet potato leaves to your budgies.

There are plenty of other safe vegetables to offer your birds so I would not take the risk.

Thanks! I won't give it to them. I just thought because it was safe for humans, it would be OK for the birds. I won't risk it. I couldn't find it in any of the "safe for birds" lists either. I appreciate your reply.
