Ill try it this weekend. I think I may sub a 1/2 cup of Cabernet Sauvignon for 1/2 cup of the water? or maybe a full cup replacement? Let you know how it comes out. Red sauce is one of my favorites 
I always cook the mushrooms in olive oil, butter, salt, pepper and red wine before I add them to the sauce alsoHey! you can use a little wine instead of water. But I use wine only if I put mushrooms in my sauce!
