I think getting the two little budgies from the shelter is a wonderful idea.

I know you'll give them a safe and loving forever home. :hug:

With regard to the big-box pet stores... my advice would be to stay out of them.
There is no way to rescue everybudgie and each time the pet stores sell one it benefits the birdie-mills.

I will probably go back to the shelter. I have adopted from them in the past and if I adopt from there then that opens up space for them to take in more.
