Wonderful list!! I always love unique names...everyone of my children...human, furry, feathery, or scaly...has a unique name. I like gender neutral names for if you don't know the sex. Our ball python....which we now know to be female...is named Tessaiga **Any Inuyasha fans???*** it means Iron Cutting Fang in Japanese. It fits both male and female. And I actually thought of Pear for a new budgie if I get a green one...glad to see it on your list!!
I'm glad you like it! Unique names are sort of a hobby, I guess. ;) I like thinking of names I know I haven't heard often before! If you do end up getting a little Pear, post a picture and s/he can join the Name Fame! :giggle: :budgie:

I LOVE names and naming things. I especially liked seeing some of those Norse names you threw in there. Always thought Odin would be cute for a one eyed anything. Loki is cute for a green little trouble maker. Violette is a sweet french name that would be adorable for a lavender looking budgie. Aros would be a fantastic name for a blue male budgie as well. Its old norse for "from the rivers mouth" It was ALMOST Milos name but his personality sort of kicked that to the curb. Perhaps you can do another list based on their personalities as well?
I named my Jenday conure Captain Hook because hes a naughty little bird. Super aggressive with most, but me of course. My green cheek's name is Dalai because shes SUPER zen and laid back. Like the Dalai Lama :)

I think another cute name for a green budgie could be Alvar. Means elf in old Norse and finnish :) ( and sort of sounds like Oliver which is another adorable name)

Dobby would be SUPER adorable too... I'd teach him to say: "Master has given Dobby a SOCK!!! Dobby is FREEEEE!!"

Oh, Albus would be an awesome name for a grey male budgie!

i named my green budgie "Pickle". Thought it was a male, but turned out to be female.
I actually love this - so cute (and original)! And from the looks of your avatar, it looks to be a good name for her colour.

I thought mine (Parker) was male as well (so far the vote is female), which go figure - Parker was my first budgies name 25 years ago, and she turned out to be female as well lol. I rolled the dice since I really like the name, but I figure it's not unheard of for a female to be named the same.

and for the sake of the thread (although I'm not sure where it would fit on the list) this is her... (Parker the first was a blue colour, and I unfortunately have no photos)

There are some great names on this list. :)

Just wanted to add a few suggestions:
Eira (pronounced eye-rah) meaning 'snow' (female).
Mahina meaning 'moon glow' (female).
Amethyst - violet quartz stone (female).
Mavi - Turkish for blue (unisex).
Jia meaning 'good' or 'beautiful' (unisex).
Drayce meaning 'dragon' (male).
Malik meaning 'wave' (male).
