Hi all🙂 So the breeder that we got Figaro from has some babies that have just finished with hand feeding, and my daughter wants to get the yellow one they have( I think it’s a double factor spangle) but we really want to get another male!

They said they are pretty sure it’s a male, but I’d love a second opinion. They are 7 weeks old- I have one picture of it that I don’t think will be very helpful, but I’ll post it anyway, and I asked them for a full face picture and they said when they get home they’ll try to send it. So if I get a new pic I’ll post that here. Thanks for your help!

Also want to add that we are all set up to follow a full 30-40 day quarantine if we do end up getting a new budgie😉

We need a full frontal view of the cere taken in natural light, no flash and no direct sunlight for an accurate determination.

From the tiny portion of the cere I can see, the budgie does appear to be male.

I just edited it to add the 2 pictures the breeder just sent me… not sure they are helpful, but hopefully!

Is he a yellow double factor spangle? One of his siblings is a green spangle, and then 2 females that I’m not sure what mutation they are? This is a pic of them(the female siblings)..

Yes, he's double factor spangle! As for the sisters, they're gorgeous... and really pale! I think they're dilute spangle opaline~

Thanks so much for answering my questions☺. I thought they were so pretty but couldn’t figure out what they were, except I thought they must be dilute something with the white cheek patches?. I was kinda bummed they were girls because I would have gotten one if it was a boy lol but I guess it’s for the best since my daughter wanted the yellow one 🤪
