I'd call him a dark green spangle,
but I'm still learning so don't quote
me on that :) He's a very handsome
fellow!

Thanks! I was thinking dark green or olive green spangle. Still not quite sure how to tell the difference.

I think he is an olive spangle

He could possibly be a dark green violet spangle. His color is too deep for normal dark green

I don't know if I'm imaging things, but I really thought I saw a hint of blue on his underside, near the vent. I tried to get a photo, but couldn't capture it. That could point to violet, perhaps...?

In looking at the photo of Felix with the other two birds, I see a turquoise
feather by his tail. The other two tails are pointing to the left, and the
turquoise feather is pointing right, in alignment with Felix' tail. Is that his?
That surely must mean something, that vibrant blue feather on a green bird.

Whoah, I didn't even catch that!! Yes, I believe it must be his feather, based on the position of the other two birds. I guess the blue feathers are only clearly visible from certain angles. Interesting...I'll try to get more pics of that if he'll let me get close enough.
