Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, was confused as where to ask ^^;

Marcia and Lilly are now full-grown adults :)eek: still hard to believe they're all grown up!) and I still have no idea what their colours/mutations are!

So I figured I'd come ask you guys what the proper names for them are. Sorry for bad quality photos, it's easier to take pictures with my phone of them since these guys aren't tame- that way I can put the phone up to the cage bars without scaring them too much!

First up, Lilly! (And yes, Horatio wouldn't leave her alone  Glad that Horatio is happy again though.)

Sometimes when she's in the sunlight more you can see some purple/blue on her. This is easily seen when she was a baby- I have a photo of her and John here for comparison. Her body, as an adult, does seem to be a extremely light blue/purple? Not sure but you can see a slight colour difference in the photos as well ^^

And now for Marcia, who, like Lilly, has a very stalkerish mate named John Freebird. In real life she looks a brighter purple but it doesn't show up well on my phone.

Sadly Marcia wouldn't let me take any photos of her front-on. :(

Thank you for all help :)

Oh she does look a lot like a fallow! I'm horrid at colours and mutations but some of the photos look like her.

But yes she does have red eyes and I adore her to bits :) I was very happy when her old owner agreed to selling me her ^^

I agree with Kat, she's definitely a Fallow. They are so rare it took me a couple of years to acquire some Fallows. She's a beauty! :speechless-smiley-0

Oh awesome! She's always been special to me so I'm delighted to hear she's a Fallow!

I had no idea what I'd find when I went to her breeders, I just asked if he had any whitish birds with the normal markings or if he knew anything about breeding them and he took me to her saying he was going to keep her but since I asked he'd sell me her.
I must say I was very happy to be bringing her back with John. Lilly and John were my first two in returning to the budgie world <3

I'm extremely glad I asked xD

I'm SO jealous, she's definitely a German Fallow!!
If you can see blue/purple, I'd say she's some sort of Yellowface II Violet Opaline German Fallow, but I don't have a lot of experience with Fallows so I wouldn't know for sure.

John looks like a Yellowface II Cobalt Blue Dominant Pied Opaline, and if Marcia is purple in person then she is Violet Opaline. Horatio is a Cobalt Blue Normal.

Your flock is stunning, I hope I helped. :)

Oh wow that does help a lot thanks! I'll have to look up more about all these markings xD

I'll write it all down so I know what they are and can keep track of it :)
Thank you very much <3
