Hey guys,

I have this budgie called Moppie, he or she is more than a year old but the "nose", or whatever the name for that is, is still not really blue or brown. I'd really like to know what gender Moppie is, so I hope you guys can help ?

Welcome to the forums! :)

I agree that you have a gorgeous budgie boy.
I have moved this thread to the Determining Gender section, where it's most appropriate.

i know how you feel with moppie.....as i have one the exact same :p mine is called Randy, had him nearly 2 years now, never laid an egg and never saw him mate.....until recently! :p
i have asked many breeders who all were confused.......his cere turns a brownish colour but always has the blue and pink......he has been seen rearing a clutch of chicks (as the father) but i never saw him mate haha
yours looks like a male too :p
i have attached two different pictures of my boy Randy.....i thought he was a she.....but now he has paired up with a hen and looks like hes trying to "do the deed" :)
