Can we tell for sure what Snow is yet? Mutation? I assuming he's still a he? :)

I have other pics if you need different angles.... what colour is his belly classified as? It looks a grey-blue to me... What does mauve look like? And, one more thing, do you think his head will stay white?

Thanks!

I'm horrible at this but I'd almost guess female because of the slight white I see by his nostrils.

in the 1st pic looks female, but the others look male
He /she is a grey recessive pied May be considered mauve instead of grey ( i know the camera changes colors at times) if in person his/her color looks more of a blue grey Then it's Mauve, if it looks normal grey (smokey grey) then its grey

Recessive pied males DO NOT get blue ceres they will stay Pink, Females still get the normal - white/tan/chocolate brown ceres

also recessive pieds do not get iris rings they're eyes stay dark all their lives

Also 1st pic i can tell he/she is going through a molt, and from the bars on its head I'd say his/her 1st molt So she/he is around 4 months old

I would lean more towards mauve. That coloring is very similar to tinkerbell's and she was mauve.
I would also guess male, though the first pic does suggest female the other two look male. time will tell :)

Awww awesome, I think he is mauve. To the eye, it definitely looks blue grey not smokey grey.

Maybe this pic will help? Taken a few moments ago in full sunlight. :D

Beautiful bird :) In person, is the cere tan or pinky purple? I am seeing both dependant on the pic so which is it?

I'd still say pinky purple, but it is getting darker since he's started going through his first moult.

She looks identical to my Mika, so i would say mauve recessive pied and obviously female, here is Mika for what it is worth:

I think that the sex may have to wait. In a recessive pied, pinky purple is generally male but if there is any hint of brown I would have some reservations about painting the room blue just yet.

Oh, gorgeous birds! Snow's cere doesn't look brown like that at all though... hmm! lol.

LOL! Okay. ;) I'll guess I'll just wait then. He seems like a boy sometimes (is trying to talk, imitates easily and very friendly), yet lately he's been chewing on everything... newspaper, me. He's stopped trying to bite me this week though, as soon as I made the post here, he stopped! Like he knew!

Well Mika is about 11 months in this picture so she is an older budgie and she was coming into breeding condition at that time. But i was looking at the pictures of Snow in the pictures section, and the cere looks light brown to me in most of them.
Thanx for the sweet comment, i will let them know!

Do birds like this usually keep a white head or go yellow? Or no telling what will happen?

he is a white based budgie , so his head will stay white

the only ones who get yellow heads are Yellow based (body color is yellow) and Yellow Face budgies

YAY! I really hope so. All my other guys got yellow heads, and I think he's so cute white. If he would let me touch his pretty wings, I would cuddle him in joy..... hehe.
