What is this noise?

Your Budgie is playing with you he is growling at you playing with your finger. my Budgie Buster use to make that sound when i scratched him.. I no that sound well.. It is a playful Growl he thinks you are his mum and the finger is like his mate... I love the video i subscribed to you..

Thanks Lyn! I'm happy to know now for sure that it is a happy noise! I think it's adorable!
I was wondering if it was just a noise babies made but if you remember your Buster making it too, I assume that was when he was an adult too. So yay!

Indi use to do it when he was a baby to it was funny...

He sure does!! He never tires of it and would let me continue forever
It's a nice bedtime ritual. It's the only time of day he seems to like it

I've had budgies since I was a baby but only one at a time and my childhood budgie lived for 16 years! I remember the words and phrases he said but not the sounds. Same with the others before Pitchii. I can remember her sounds and so I am only comparing Pinko with her sounds. It makes me curious about owning more than one budgie at a time..... But it won't be possible while we still live in a 'rabbit hutch' apartment..

Maybe its different with all birds, but when Skye does that it means she's had enough and is about to take a chunk out of my finger.

I just adore Pinko. Look at the little cutie having a great time with those head rubs! And those noises are too cute! My budgies have made similar ones. Adorable.

In this video he is a bit antsy , a lot of the time he will close his eyes and zone out.... Depends on the pinnie though, some seem painful. Poor guy he is still molting!

Awwwww, Pinko is such a sweetie. I think I might have to visit him... I realize that would be very far to travel, but that's okay.

My flock is doing well, except for the couple of days of night frights, one of which was during a thunderstorm. I stayed up with them for an hour or so until the storm was over at about 2am. They just couldn't settle, the poor little guys.

Oh, and fortunately, neither of them is having a major moult at the moment, though Riley does have a lovely blood feather on his head that I bet he is dying to get rid of!
