I recently found out baby Henry has grown certain lacewing features. He's always very diluted and opaline, (which kinda matches.) I'm not sure what kind of pied he has, but he's a very pretty bird nonetheless. :)

(Which, by the way, all of those things up there is my favorite mutation combination; he is so gorgeous, he looks almost like porcelain! x])

there isn't a mutation out there that I don't like

But I have a soft spot for Greys, Violets and I want another one like my Candy who died 6 days after I got her :( And I have not yet found another one around me like her

Here are the only pictures of her I have

These last 2 were taken about 20 mins before she suddenly died

You know what? I don't have a favorite.
I look at them all and then I look again. But no, can't say I really have a favorite.

I honestly don't know enough about them to have a favorite, I love Artemis and Hermes colorations though - I adore the lighter colors, Sky blue, and the like.

My favorites are any and all that have a "yellow" face. But my most favorite are these and I don't know what their mutation is called. Pastel blues blended with pastel yellows, white and greens with lacy wings. So pretty!

This is Cliff's bird, the other one I found in google.

I love them all! Right now I would really like a yellow pied, or a yellow face grey. Or a white pied. I don't have any greens yet either :)

My favorite is a yellow face violet opaline. I'm hoping to get my cobalts to produce violets and then, at a later date, cross those with yellow face cobalts to produce yellow face violets. I had a beautiful strain going, years back, but the mouse incident wiped out my hens and I never had the opportunity to get that project back on track.

I have always liked the picture of the german sky blue fallow and hoped to have a few of them one day:

As for myself, im a big fan of the violet colouration. But as i have been thinking of specialising after getting some breeding experience under my belt while i continue to build more aviaries and my decision is leaning heavily towards rainbows. I will start by breeding clearwing violets, and try to find goldenface violets (with opaline if possible). It will take years to find the mix of genes that make my ideal rainbow. Sky blue is very vibrant and bright, violet is deeper and has its own beauty, but i really want a VIBRANT coloured rainbow variety. So i will be travelling around the country for the next month or two during my holidays looking for budgies with outstanding colour quality and selecting my breeding stock for the years to come, merging them until i have an established rainbow stud :D

Here are some examples -
