In the first picture, the bird on the left is an opaline cobalt. I think she's a hen but it's hard to be sure.

The bird on the right is a male, and he's a greywing sky blue.

They're both very pretty.

Both birds' wings are clipped improperly and dangerously; the secondary flight feathers and dorsal major primary coverts have been clipped, and I am concerned someone cut off some wing bones. The only wing feathers that should be clipped are the primary flight feathers. Please look at this picture and, if the feathers grow back, make sure you only do a "baby clip" of the primary flight feathers (see the white line drawn through the 10 primary flight feathers?): http://www.thebirdclinic.com/Bird-Clinic-Handouts/BirdClinicHandout10.pdf.

In addition, budgies do not feel safe in round cages because there is no corner to hide in. The cage is too small, too. The minimum size cage for 2 budgies is 30x18x18" like this one: http://www.petco.com/product/114152/Petco-Designer-White-Finch-Flight-Cage.aspx.

Your birds also need some toys to play with. Budgies are very active and intelligent and need objects to stimulate their minds.

If you read the Housing stickies in these forums, you will get some ideas for improving their living conditions.

hello, im working on a new cage... planning to make one with pvc since i'll be gettin a few more budgies soon...

look at the pic... is 'she' still hen?
I'm pretty sure she's a hen. Her cere looks pale blue with large whitish nostril rings. If she were male, her nostril rings would be smaller.

She is not in breeding condition because her cere is not tan or brown.
