Dear members,
To help you understand about why yellow-faced violet-cobait budgies are tricky to exmine and to name correctly.

I had photoed a 5-month-old male single factor yellow-faced type 2nd violet-cobait normal budgie and 2-month-old female single factor yellow-faced type 1st violet-cobait normal budgie.

1st photo: Left: 5-month-old male single factor yellow-faced type 2nd violet-cobait normal budgie, Right: 2-month-old female single factor yellow-faced type 1st violet-cobait normal budgie.

2nd photo: Left: 5-month-old male single factor yellow-faced type 2nd violet-cobait normal budgie, Right: 2-month-old female single factor yellow-faced type 1st violet-cobait normal budgie.

3rd photo: Bird in centre of photo is 5-month-old male single factor yellow-faced type 2nd violet-cobait normal budgie.

4th photo: 2-month-old female single factor yellow-faced type 1st violet-cobait normal budgie.

5th photo: 5-month-old male single factor yellow-faced type 2nd violet-cobait normal budgie, flying away from perch. Note purplish blue body.
