Dura likes flirting too much. Each time pia tries to nap he comes and start flirting to her until one time pia pecked Dura on his head[emoji23]. and he kept staring at me like what's wrong with her. I was like she is not in the mood.

Alright so I kept hand feeding them for three days and today I opened the cage and they both left the cage into my shoulder and kept there for some reason. Dura was okay and not scared but Pia was at the start and they kept on my laptop screen until now chirping and playing with each other and they don't Want to enter the cage.

It's starting to look as though they were quite tame at their original home, or at least used to people. It's great that they're able to get sone out of cage time but you must supervise them at all times, cover all mirrors and windows to make sure they can't flutter into them and injure themselves and make the environment as safe as you possibly can. Peg their cage door open and they should return on their own when they're hungry or tired. If you need them to go back you can try using a perch. Hold it gently in front of their abdomen, just above their feet and press gently and they may step up. If they do, move very slowly and be prepared in case they decide to jump off at any stage. While they're out you should gather a few bits and pieces they can use as toys. Congrats on the great progress.

I'm glad that Pia and Dura are doing well! They look very happy.

Budgies don't like being touched :) Don't try to touch them or they will be scared. It's better for them to get used to you on their own time. It sounds like so far they're well on their way to trusting you more!

And now the like to stand on my finger but they still prefer the cage. But when they get out they stay near me. Pia like to keep on my finger but Dura like to walk from my finger to my shoulder near my neck and keep pecking my hair. Typing this while pia is napping on my finger and Dura is next to my neck. Here some pics

Okay thx. My budgie isn't really tamed. They don't bother to go outside the cage even tho know they like the cage more. They eat from my hand they Perch on finger but they don't play and don't want me to touch them they still bite and they don't play with toys or with each other outside the cage but there is still hopes for them.

This is lovely to see and Dura and Pia have come a long way in a short amount of time. Keep encouraging them with the toys. Hopefully, in time they'll start to play. Maybe some chewing toys would be a good idea, like Bird Kabobs. Chewing is something they would do naturally and it'll be fun for them.

Haha, that's so sweet. They are really coming along and settling in beautifully. Great to see.

As pia is always aggressive with me she became aggressive to Dura as well. I don't see them sharing food and feeding each other and I don't see them breening for each other as well I would see Dura sit next to the cage wall and everytime he gets near pia. Pia make that sound of danger and hit him. They used to love each other even after the wings got clipped but now no they don't.

Pia might just be coming out of her shell, braver as she's become more comfortable in her new house and now she's standing up for what she does and doesn't want, whereas before she was too scared so would sit quietly. Before Dura was comfort too, he was someone familiar in a strange new place but now she's braver and willing to explore without him being in her face all the time. The small cage could also be contributing as they have no room in there to get away from each other if they want to. Keep an eye on them because you don't want normal bickering to become serious fighting.

Well the Strang thing when I introduced them to new room in the house and I put them in the ground and Dura started exploring but when he went a little further pia was still on my shoulder and started to chirp of calling and went to follow Dura as she reached there Dura went back to pia and she bicked him.

Mine do exactly the same thing. I feel so bad for my boy, Peanut. My girl JoJo has been treating him the way Pia treats Dura since they went through their first moult. I think most females are just dominant and like to keep the boys in line.

Lol. But I recognized that pia is less aggressive to me when Dura is not around. Like what, I was scratching her head without struggling and biting for like 30 min put her back to the cage. I took the opportunity to train her not to bite I simply give her a treat everytime she allows me to scratching or even touch her without biting and that went pretty well.

I want to talk about my experience with having budgies (or a pet in general). Well it's fun to have them but it's not fun when at the beginning and you start of with untamed adult budgie because the amount of patience you need and even if you brought adult budgie they will get tamed until a specific point because they will not fully trust you. I don't know but this is the 2nd week since I rescued Dura and Pia. Well I always have fun more with Dura than pia. Yes pia likes to keep on my. Finger but she bits a lot for a female. I got couple few bits on my face that bleeded and hurt but it hurts for few hours or even minutes and it gone. For Dura I found his favorite game which is keep him on my finger and then I launch him and he fly and then he chirps until he see me. I feel the Dura comfortable with me and he don't bite even if I tried to touch him in place he don't like he don't bite he just move away to my shoulder or whatever. I found the previous owner of there two little one. Well he is a cruel one he simply bought them from a pet shop and did left them carelessly for like 1 day and he throw them away that was the same day I rescued it and 2 hours after he got them fly away they came to my window. I can consider Dura is 30% tame and Pia like 20% tame. I checked with the nearest pet store to where I will move to that he got everything available. I went to a breeder before yesterday he teached me a lot about breeding and I introduced him to my little feather and he told me that they was ready to mate already. I checked with the previous owner and told me that he stopped them when found doing it. I was like wt... Is wrong with this dude.. No wonder why these budgies hate each other sometime. Anyway I am still thinking about having them to breed when I move for now I need to concentrate to get them the new cage and getting them to play with toys.

You've certainly come a long way in 2 weeks. Usually it takes months before budgies become as tame as yours, and some never become tame. Keep remember Bering to work at Dura and Pia's pace though. Don't push them into doing anything they don't want to do. If Pia is happy enough just sitting on your finger, that's fine. After seeing Dura playing for awhile, Pia might decide to join in sometime down the track. Didn't you clip Dura and Pia's wings? If so this will severely limit their ability to fly, so be careful when Dura is flying around the room. He is at risk of being hurt if he bangs into a wall or can't land properly because he doesn't have the control needed.

That is extremely sad that Dura and Pia's old owners just tossed them away and left them to fend for themselves. I'm so glad they were only outside for about 2 hours before flying to your window, and that they stayed together. The poor little things must've been so frightened. It's great that you've already looked ahead to getting them a bigger cage and more toys. I can't wait to hear how they settle in. I'm sure they'll love having the extra space.

Making sure you are prepared for Dura and Pia to travel is very important too. Obviously, if you're only moving a short car trip away, that's easy to work out, but you've said you're moving to another country. Will you be flying? Have you rang airlines to find out their rules for travelling with two budgies? Working out a game plan now will make it easier and less stressful when moving day comes.

You definitely don't want to be considering breeding at this stage. You're very new to budgies and there's loads of research to be done before taking that huge step. Please read all the stickies at the top of the 'Breeding' section of the forum. It's full of helpful advice and practical tips to discourage breeding.

Don't worry it's short trip like less than 2 hours with airline. And 1 day with a car. I Wright both of these feathers because pia looks so slim considering to Dura but their weigh is good. Pia is 30 to 31 and Dura is 34 to 35. Pia is frightening too much I can feel it I know she is comfortable in my hands and eats from my hands. Believe it or not pia don't like to eat the millet spray from a hanged place she prefer it on my hands. But she still bites. When she is on my shoulder she uses my hair as a toy or to scratch he self she picked some of my hair o.0. But anyway I wouldn't breed until I get them to a vet to check them and have more experience in budgies on general.
