Default Age for treatment?

So today I was playing with chick three (Now named Buffy) and chick two ( Now named Xander) They were sitting on my finger whilst i was giving them some millet and I though I saw something crawl over Buffy's neck, now this could have been part of a seed husk falling and that's probably what it was but still I then went on to check her over and couldn't find anything...

Although I was wondering could I treat them with some Ivermectin spot on anyways?
I want to treat all my birds as before the chicks were born the vet wanted to do it because Skylar was sick but obviously we could only treat Skylar at the time - so really what im asking is, will it now be safe for the not so young chicks to have now ?

Their ages are;
Chick one (Willow) - H/D 04/12/14
Chick two (Xander) - H/D 07/12/14
Chick three (Buffy) - H/D 09/12/14

And If they are too young would it still effect them if I treated their other cage mates?

I would really like to treat Nikolai as he seems to be a little under the weather but he is going through a molt so could be that but better safe then sorry

Thanks guys

Bethany,

Everything I've read indicates chicks should not be treated until they reach 6 months of age so you need to wait until JUNE before treating Buffy.

Edited to correct month.

And she means June 9th, since the baby was born on December 9th

When you use dates around here, that aren't over 12, it confuses us americans.

Dang -- I always forget that other countries do it day/month/year rather than month/day/year.

Thanks for the correction, JW.

I DID mean 6 months from when the babies were born though so they all need to wait until June.

Oops, I always forget about the dates, thanks for clearing that up for me.

Sounds silly but could I still treat the other three (Nikolai, Khaleesi & Skylar) as they are in the same cage ?

I'm an American living in Madrid, and I have the same problem with dates all the time!

Good luck with your chicks, Bethany! I'm sure that what you saw was just a seed husk

It's normal, especially with chicks! You just want everything to be perfect. I did the same thing with Sammy when he was a baby. That's what we're all here for!

Bethany,
You can go ahead and treat them if you wish but I'd just wait until June and do them all at once if it were me.
