Default Traveling

I have a question about travel. I have to travel out of town for 3-4 days. It's a 1 1/2 hour drive. It's pretty cold out right now. In the 20s. I'm wondering if I should drop my bird off to be sat by my mother or take him with me? Id love to take him with me but I'm not sure if driving that long is ok for him.

That is not too far a distance to travel. I have gone further than that to bring my new budgies home, and there are folk's on here who have gone much longer. The main question I think you need to address is what will be the best enviroment for your bird for those 3 or 4 day's. Is where you are going bird safe, as far as the air not having toxic thing's in it ? Same with your mom's place and thing's like cleaning chemical's and non stick cookware....

How about a trusted friend or family member coming in to your place to feed and water daily ? Lot's to consider, you will make the best choice....

Thank you randy. Leaving him here alone and having my mom stop over to feed him is an option but I just feel he would be lonely and I would miss him. He would be in a totally safe environment where I am going or at my moms. I was more concerned with the the cold air transfer to and from car and the long drive. (Stress?). I think I'm going to take him with me

Heck if you warm the car up, and cover his cage real good to get to the car, he won't be bothered at all...

I am sure he will be fine, as randy said make sure the car is pre warmed, cover the cage totally even place hot water bottle under the cover. Don't have the heat up too high just comfortable as for you. Don't have the cage where the direct air blows on the bird.
That amount of time is fine but do take spare water and seed in case!!
