Default Our budgie is losing her feathers

I think our budgie is losing her feathers because she is pulling them out,her body is nearly featherless she is losing more everyday, she has eggs in the nestbox and she is staying there but should come out sometimes and she looks like she is losing more, what do you think?,should we separate her from the box,I think something is wrong with the eggs she has a mate in the cage but the eggs are taking too long to hatch defiantly more the 21 days ,help.

Can you post pictures of her please? Have you taken her to see an avian vet about her condition yet?

In this situation yes, removing her from the eggs and any opportunities to breed would be very wise if you do not want to loose her. If she is dealing with some health problem, whether physical or mental, breeding is the absolute last thing you want her doing as it places such a stress on the body of even a healthy bird and it can quite literally kill a sick one.

If you have a look at this thread: When We Don't Want Eggs! - Cute Little Birdies Aviary you will find the best things to do with regards to discouraging breeding. I hope your little girl will be ok, and we will do our best to help. But if her feather loss is as extensive as it sounds you will likely need to contact a qualified vet who will be able to diagnose the root cause, as well as the best treatment
