Default Possible change in droppings?

Apologies if this is in the wrong place. Simmi seems absolutely fine in himself: playing lots with his favourite bell toy, eating, drinking, tweeting and chirping away, coming sometimes to the side of the cage to 'say hello'. I know I tend to be a bit of a worrier, but I think maybe his droppings are a bit different at times, not always. But I might in fact be forgetting they've been this way before?! Some of them look a bit greener than usual (though I've kept him off greens for a coup!e to days to see..) and some are watery. Is this maybe to do with the hot weather we're having here?....maybe someone can reassure me?:-)
Thanks

Hi Susan and welcome back!

If the temperature is rising due to the coming Summer weather and Simmi is drinking more water as a consequence, then a couple of his droppings can be more watery in consistency. This is especially the case after he just had a drink or a bath.
When moulting, it's also common to have a few more watery poops due to the added stress. When eating fruit or veggies with a higher content of water, this will also directly affect the droppings.

If Simmi is active and is eating and drinking well, he should be fine. Keep on monitoring his droppings and if you see more of a difference and are still worried, then booking him an appointment with the avian vet specialist will be the best thing to do and will hopefully put your mind at ease.

Good luck!
