Hi everyone! Got a new baby at a pet store, and they were keeping the babies in bad conditions. I kind of rescued her, and she has seemed fine up until last night. By baby I mean so young she has to be spoofed still. She has started losing some feathers. Especially her long feathers on her wings. It seems like they're just falling out, cut I was holding her and found a feather in my hand. What can cause this and what can I do to help her? Could it be the adjustment away from the other babies she was with?

Sorry. Has To Be Spoonfed Still. Not Spoofed Lol

I'm very sorry to say this, but when I saw the picture of your chick yesterday the thought of a more serious feather disturbance did cross my mind, but at that point and given the fact you had just gotten the chick, it was too premature to tell, because there could have been other outwardly factors that led to the feather loss.
Now that you mention she is losing the flight feathers on the wings, it's much clearer now that your budgie must be a carrier of French moult.
Given the severity of the case, it would be best to have her seen by an avian vet specialist, in order to have confirmation of the diagnosis and for you to have a special diet plan for your budgie in order to hopefully improve her feather condition.
