Default Disinfecting items for budgies

Katie's momma gave me a little wooden bird toy (it's basically a little hanging bridge) and I would like to make sure it's safe for candy and peregrine. It was originally in a brooding cage for baby chickens and turkeys. What is a safe way to clean it?

I would recommend you first clean it very well using undiluted white vinegar and then let it air dry.

After that, I would put the toy on a baking sheet in a 250 degree oven for at least 30 to 45 minutes to ensure that any bacteria present in the wood from having been exposed to the chickens and turkeys have been killed.
