Default Pigwidgeon possibly sick?

So I've noticed today that Pig seemed fluffed up and ready for sleep a lot earlier than normal. She was by her food dish and perching on one foot. Still eating and drinking, and poo looks normal. Her tail had a slightly more bob to it than what I recall her normal. When trying to inspect her, she acted as normal as I was trying to get her out. She's not a huge fan of it, so I always have to be a little persistent. Once out, she acted as I expected, wanting to get to Hedwig. She even attempted flight (though she can't yet as her feathers aren't fully back), which again is something she normally does. Am I just being worrisome for nothing and she's just had a long day, or could there be an issue?

So I was in my bathroom with her as I was typing that. As soon as I finished, I got up and opened the door. She jumped off my shoulder and flew to her cage. Mind you, this isn't a straight flight and takes some maneuvering that she has yet to exhibit. Maybe I am being paranoid and poor baby just wanted to sleep a little earlier tonight.

I think that right now it's too early to come to a conclusion about whether or not she's sick since the only thing that's different is her sleeping time (by not a huge amount of time).

Today, I wanted to go to sleep earlier too-- some days feel longer than others

Just watch her closely over the next few days; if she doesn't develop any other symptoms or behavior deviations then she's most likely fine

That's what I'm thinking. Just being an over worried budgie parent.

When days are overcast and it gets dark earlier outside, you may find your budgies go to sleep earlier and get up later.

The weather was beautiful out. I did know that overcast days affect them. It does all animals. She's been her normal self since, so I'm confident she just wanted an earlier bedtime last night!

That's great to hear! Since Pigwidgeon is doing fine, I'll close this thread now
