Hey guys I need your help badly. I heard noise coming from my parakeets cage. Like he was eating or throwing seed on the floor. But when I looked at him he was like shaking his head and seed was flying. I think he was throwing up. He had like a tiny piece of seed on him and his chest was a little wet. I moved him to my room to see what was going on and he ended up doing it again. When i checked on him he was right next to the food bowl. He sleeps on the opposite of the cage where the food bowl is. This is the first time I have noticed it tonight. I have never seen him do it before. I do not have money for a vet at all or I would take him the moment they opened. I have no idea what to do.

I think he is throwing up Millet. I gave all the birds millet today about 1-2 hours before I put them to bed. Everything he is throwing up looks like millet.

Right now, I would recommend you give him millet soaked in Guardian Angel or Pedialyte and cover his cage to ensure he's warm enough.

Find a family member or friend from whom you can borrow the money to have your budgie seen by an Avian Vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

When you rely on anyone who has not had training in Avian diagnosis and care, you may be delaying effective treatment.
This can prolong suffering that may be avoidable.
The bird will often require a more intense, prolonged treatment with a poorer chance of full recovery than it would have if you seek prompt professional diagnosis and treatment at the first sign of illness.

For the future, you need to set up an emergency fund so you will always have finances to care for your budgies health needs. A responsible pet owner knows there will be expenses associated with illness and/or injury and plans for those times.

Be Prepared for Veterinary Expense
