Hi, I'm a new member and relatively new budgie keeper!
Got 2 little budgies last night...one looks to be in good health, the other not so much. He/she is active and friendly, eating, drinking and playing, but has bald spots around his/her head and neck. To me, it looks like he/she been pecked, but I'm not 100%. The person I got them from couldn't tell me very much. They are very fond of one another, perch together and fly together...where one goes the other will follow. I believe they are about 10 weeks old..
Can anyone comment on what could have caused the bald spots?
I have attached some pictures for you to see.
Thanks in advance!
The one with the bald spots looks like he was potentially picked on by one of his cagemates at the pet shop. The pin feathers are already starting to grow in, so he'll be just fine in no time
