Default Changed food to pellets

We recently switched our birds to pellets from seed, and their poops have yellow stain around it. The brand is ZuPreem. Otherwise they are their normal happy selves.

Are you feeding them the fruity pellets or the natural pellets? The fruity pellets can cause their poop to be discolored due to the dyes

Please take the time to read all of the information in the Budgie Articles and Stickies.

With a healthy diet, budgies should get 1 1/2 - 2 teaspoons (each) of a high quality seed mix each day. A supply of pellets can be left in the cage 24/7 and fresh vegetables should be offered.

Changes in poop color is normal when the diet changes.
