Default Zircis Beak

Hello all, been a while.. again. I am here today because while zirci was eating some millet from my hand i felt his beak looked strange. He has always had a "happy beak" where he is phantom talking or looks like he is chewing bubble gum which i was told was normal. When i saw his beak though i was not sure if it is normal or if i am over reacting. from the front you cant see the tip of his upper beak very well almost like he has thickening? he eats normal.. same goofy boy i have always had. just looking for some reassurance! i apologize for the quality of the photos, he does not sit still!!!

Zircis' beak is a bit normal and some "parrots' beaks don't grow as they should, although as long is they are able to eat normally, it's not a serious problem...but either due to age,
feeding, or chewing habits it could become a problem. I've seen this before in an adult budgie I acquired when in high school, which had a very bad case of scaly face mites and when she recovered it took a long time for the beak to look reasonably normal. Beaks grow continually, both upper and lower. That said, today, with avian vets who specialize in birds, reshaping a beak can be done, but I'd see what your avian vet thinks. You might try providing natural branches from safe trees that might encourage him to be more of a chewer, but I'd first ask your vet.
