I was wondering how I could prepare my budgies for a hurricane. Thank you

Do you have a smaller travel cage you can place them into so you can pick them up and transport them quicker and safer?
Keep a bag of food near the cage and if possible a little first aid kit and some essentials so you can just grab the bag. A water bottle rather than using a dish and try to avoid having hanging toys that could hit the bird during transportation. Also a cage cover.
