Googie is on a distinguished road
Default Unhealthy Relationship? (Spookey)

https://youtu.be/C4dhFvNkLZU

My new budgie exhibits this behaviour when she cant be with me. Is there such a thing as spending too much time with a Budgie? Is this bad behavior for a Budgie? I really appreciate any and all feedback!

Many Thanks,

Matt.

She is definitely restless and bored, and would love nothing better than to spend time with you.

She definitely needs some toys in that cage to stimulate her and keep her occupied and less obsessed with coming out. There's nothing for her to do in there, but lots of things for her to do outside the cage.

Buy lots of toys, foraging toys, shredding toys, some additional perches of different sizes, and a swing. Once a week you can change out the toys so she doesn't get bored with those.

Your mission is to keep your bird entertained when she can't be outside the cage and be with you.

The video wouldn’t load for me, but what Michelle said above is right . Make the changes in the cage, and your budgie will be happier.

Yes, it can be unhealthy to spend too much time with any creature, for both human and animal. They need to learn independence and how to function on their own at times.

That is definitely unhealthy behavior and can quickly become obsessive if you don't ensure your budgie has the necessary stimulation in her cage to entertain herself.

Take a look at the information in this link with regard to perches, toys, etc.

Essentials for a Great Cage

I'd also recommend getting her a larger flight cage as well.
