Default Our first molt?

I've had Harry for 3 1/2 months now. He usually chirps and yaks for a good hour straight every morning but he has been silent for 5 days now. All other behavior is normal and he is vocal during evening TV as usual.
Last week I saw 2 feathers on the cage bottom and 2 more this week. This is new so I assume he is starting a molt. If this is his molt rate it's gonna take a long time to replace his feathers. I tried misting him but he didn't want anything to do with it. I've been a bad boy and haven't tried a bath yet. That's my next step.

Is this silent treatment a usual molting symptom?

During a molt some birds will become much less active and vocal and even a bit grumpy. They do not molt out all the feathers, some molts are heavier than others, the heavier the molt the more prone the bird is to be lethargic. Sometimes you will see just a few wing and tail feathers, other times you will see many more small feathers from the chest and head area. Not all birds will bathe so just offer a small saucer of water and see if it sparks any interest for him.
