Pacing Back and Forth - Why??

Hmmm... does she always do her pacing on that one particular perch? If so I wonder what would happen if you moved that perch to a different area of the cage? Is she in breeding condition or molting? I know LoVey has some personality quirks during those times. When was her last vet visit? Any changes at all in the household such as a different visitor, new pet on the other side of bird room door, did you put up your Christmas tree, discord among family members, change in ambient room temperature, did you get a new article of clothing, anything at all you can think of. Has Wasabi been feeling ill? Have you been feeling healthy and relatively stress free? Sometimes it's a little thing that we wouldn't think of that can throw them. I think I'd probably start with a vet visit, for both her and Wasabi just to rule out any health issues. I'll be interested to hear the opinion of the others.

Oh my! It sounds like someone is missing you! I'm guessing the good of you ate strongly bonded. I had a hard time getting LoVey out of breeding condition too. I got total blackout curtains, and left two nightlights, and the tv on so theres enough light so she doesnt become frightened. Because of the incredibly strong bond LoVey has to me, I'm always concerned about egg laying. I'm constantly checking the area around her vent for any buldging. But only from the side. I learned the hard way not to examine that area from below. Yup! I got a poop right on my face lol!

Those surveillance cameras are great for knowing what our birdies are up to while we're working or running errands. I have one, but it's not running. As I explained in great detail to LoVey, mama has to work so she can buy yummy food and lots of toys for her lol. I have kept it in the box so should she become ill, I'll have the camera, in good working condition to use immediately. Of course, if she did become ill, the first stop would be the vet. I'm so sorry to hear about other parts of the world that don't have access to vets. Although LoVey's vet is an hour away, I've grown to truly appreciate what I have available!
